What a great time, Shanghai is. I wanted to celebrate this week the wonderful food that we’ve had so far here as well as the beauty and uniqueness I see every day here in Shanghai.

The fiance and I have this great little park right outside our door – it’s got this quiet stream running through it, with these fantastic little bridges, beautiful trees, plants and the cutest cats and kittens running around – it even has a pagoda! I love it, I love sitting in it and drinking some green tea with a book, even though it’s still bundling weather.

I also truly love all the nearby restaurants – the fact that we can walk, take a quick taxi, or even ride the fiance’s moped, to such a variety of delicious eateries. I love love love the local bibimbap, sushi, a nearby Irish pub, and we found the greatest soba noodle place, hidden away under some other shops and a stairwell.

  1. Your breakfasts look amazingly Western! Beautiful pictures; I’ve never heard of anywhere else where cats live wild, but seem so friendly and “domesticated.” Looking forward to visiting!

    1. The breakfasts wherever we’ve gone have been delicious! And the cats are just adorable. We can’t wait to have you visit either!

  2. Is that a photo of the church you guys go to? Also – would love a photo of you on the moped 🙂

    1. Actually, that’s the Shanghai Exhibition Centre – our church isn’t quite that grandiose. And I will have to take a shot on the moped sometime soon, it’s so fun, even tho I hate to admit it 🙂
