Honeymoon…what’s not to love about that word. The hubby and I were lucky enough to be able to travel to Bali for two weeks of sun, sand and relaxation. Also food, massages by the beach, drinks in the pool, and then more food and more sun.
I have nothing but good things to say about Bali, and in particular, the resort where we stayed – The Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali. This place was incredibly gorgeous, plus they catered to your every whim, and were so nice while doing it. It was our own little piece of heaven – we were able to have food and drinks brought to us on the beach every day, bike tours around the town, or room service when we just didn’t want to get up yet. We read too much (who am I kidding, there’s no such thing), road a banana boat, took walks on the beach and I learned all over again how to lose at chess, ping-pong and tennis. I’m either really bad at all games, or the hubby is just really good. Obviously, we’re going to go with the latter.
Bali was one of the most beautiful places I’ve been – the setting sun over the volcano in the distance is one of my favorite memories. Also the rising sun – the hubby woke me up one morning quite early to head to the beach and see the sun rise, and it was magical, and I forgave him for getting me up so early to see the sun rise. This place knows how to create that – magic.
